still working out this annoying problem area in the composition in the lower left. it was a shocked hand, but i’m now thinking of putting in some more black folks to reinforce the contrast between the white fat cats and the black underdogs Ms. Truth was fighting for. I’m not sure. I planned this piece, and I should have been just a little looser to aid me when something planned doesn’t work. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s always good to have a back up plan.
i have tried to give a little nod to early american illustration like Charles Dana Gibson with the pencil. Hope that’s coming through.
